MISSED THE BROADCAST? DON’T MISS MEDIA STREAMING!

Through the miracles of technology, ATN is pleased to announce media streaming of the recent “Year of World Evangelism 2004” uplink which was broadcast on April 15/16. This three-hour workshop, broadcast from the General Conference headquarters, is available in six languages.

From Pr Ted Wilson’s opening remarks and Pr Jan Paulsen’s stirring appeal for involvement to the closing prayer, every part of the seminar was interesting, relevant and inspiring. Pr Mike Ryan conducted excellent interviews with Division presidents, sharing ways the world field in its diversity will grasp the challenge of this evangelism initiative. Excellent video clips with close-ups of Adventist members young and old showcased the vibrancy of the world church family.

During the broadcast, Pr Mark Finley shared a deeply spiritual call to evangelism in his sermon “A Mission, a Vision and a Passion.” With illustrations and Bible texts Pr Finley focused on three key concepts:

1. Mission is the divinely implanted conviction of God’s call to win lost people.

2. Vision is the divinely implanted dream of what God wants me to do in this place at this time.

3. Passion is the divinely implanted intensity to carry out mission and pursue the dream.

Uplink participants also included renowned evangelists Pr Alejandro Bullon, Pr Walter Pearson and Pr Doug Batchelor. Pr Armando Miranda led a panel discussion on the church’s bold initiatives “Go One Million” (with nearly three million members now dedicated to soul-winning) and the new challenge of “Sow One Billion” (a call for church members to distribute one billion gospel invitations). Denzil McNeilus, ASI President, spoke about the DVD project (to be available in 35 languages by December.) Church departmental leaders along with featured lay members participated in the panel. And Pr Peter Prime, General Conference coordinator for YWE2004, explained plans for “Year of World Evangelism 2004.”
