Countdown to 7th ATN Satellite Series Uplinked from Africa
It's almost upon us! "Visions for Victory" hosted by the West Africa Division from Aba, Nigeria will begin in less than two weeks. This satellite series marks another first for ATN. This will be the first satellite evangelism series with a division president as the speaker! The Nigerian Union welcomes Pr Don Schneider, North American Division president as the featured speaker. Preaching from an evangelist's heart, Pr Schneider will take the pulpit each evening and in his warm and open style, he will present the messages of the Bible, powerfully appealing to the hearts of those seeking truth. You will also enjoy special features prepared by Sr Marti Schneider, who ministers in North America as the Director of Seeds Conference. And each evening the much-loved Kings Heralds, USA will present music just before Pastor Schneider's message. The programs will also include wonderful music of scores of local musicians. This satellite series will undoubtedly be another highlight for the church in Africa.

Preparation in Nigeria
Pr Boakye-Dankwa, WAD Coordinator for the event is pleased with the enthusiasm and particularly the personal Bible Studies conducted by a huge team of 2000 Lay Bible volunteers who have each taken the responsibility for 10 Bible students. A few weeks ago in the city of Aba, the women completed three campaigns. Pastors and lay members are busy conducting over 200 house campaigns. Some churches have already started baptizing those who are prepared. The city of Aba is divided into seven districts with a total of nearly 30 churches and a membership of over 10,000.
Dr. Dayo Alao, Nigerian Union Mission, in a recent email reports a unique opportunity this event has afforded the Adventist Church.
"More than 30 of the 36 State Governors and over four hundred Federal and State law makers, scores of traditional rulers, including eminent Nigerians are receiving a personal visit and invitation to attend a satellite downlink of the program in a local Adventist church. It is also expected that the Executive Governor of the State, Chief Ujior Uzo Kalu will be flagging off the programme with a colourful opening ceremony."
Far away in Kenya, Br Enoch Mogusu and his eager team are busy preparing more outdoor downlink sites to participate in this program. He writes, "My idea of having OPEN-AIR Market ATN downlink crusades has gotten a lot of support and now Central Nyanza Field has taken it up due to its success from my base in South Kenya Conference during the Lusaka ATN - VOP Series. Central Nyanza Field has started serious preparations in six satellite downlink sites for the next NIGERIA UPLINK. I shall be donating equipment and providing technical support in all the six sites. ASI members here shall be providing transportation, monitoring and hosting the event. We hope to reach 28,000 people and have about 3000 new souls baptized by 29th Nov 2003."
And in Zambia, many of the nearly 400 downlink sites will be tuning in again as they nurture the over 20,000 new members recently added to their churches. Many, many more precious souls who were introduced to God's truth during the latest satellite series, but who are not yet ready for a decision are expected to join the church after the series from Nigeria.
Let us join the church of Nigeria in prayer as the countdown continues and many details are being finalized. Don't miss tuning in for "Visions for Victory"!
