Faith Against the Odds to air on Hope Channel

From May 12-28, 2003, Pastors Mark Finley and R.C. Williams accompanied a team from Adventist Media Productions to Italy and Switzerland. They had just two weeks to videotape a seven program series titled, Faith Against the Odds. These telecasts will trace the story of the remarkable Waldenses-the heroes of faith credited with holding true to the beliefs of the apostolic fathers through the 12th century, the dark days of the cruel inquisition and the great Reformation of the 16th century. The series, written by Steve Mosley and produced and directed by Russell Gibbs, placed It Is Written speaker/director Mark Finley in many dynamic-though often noisy and challenging-locations. The weather, usually a big problem on outdoor shoots, cooperated wonderfully, and the team was able to tape over 140 scenes.

A Life-Changing Series
"The whole team worked excellently together, and being involved in this project was an inspiration to each one of us," said producer Russell Gibbs.This seven-part series will be released for television in early 2004, and later on DVD and video formats.
