Hope Channel Specials for Easter Season

Beginning the first weekend in April, from Sydney Town Hall, Australia, comes the annual Easter Celebration of Word and Song.  Seeking to promote the original Easter story direct from the Bible, Easter Celebration of Word and Song aims to contemporize the story of Easter but remain faithful to the Word.

As always, the event will uplift Christ in a way that is both visually and spiritually enriching.  Performers from all denominations will join to tell the story of Christ’s life, death and resurrection, as recorded in the Scriptures.  They will be backed by the St. Andrew’s Cathedral Celebration of Word & Song Orchestra led and arranged by world renowned conductor Paul Terrancini.

Easter Celebration of Word and Song is a cooperative effort of the Bible Society, representatives from the Adventist Media and the South Pacific Adventist Communication Department.  Programme will be uplinked live on April 3 from Sydney Town Hall.  Check the Hope Channel website for a repeat broadcast at a time suited for you. 

Join Bruce Marchiano in a four-part series entitled  In the Footsteps of Jesus uplinked by Adventist Media Centre from New Zealand on Hope Channel, Easter weekend.  Bruce will express the impact of acting the role of Jesus in the Matthew Visual Bible production. He describes how he moved from being a nominal Christian to becoming a committed disciple of Jesus and encourages participants to become followers of Jesus. In the Footsteps of Jesus is ideal for the Easter season.

As an actor portraying Jesus in the visual Bible film, The Gospel of Matthew, Bruce Marchiano memorized every word Jesus spoke in “Matthew” and walked through his every encounter…. Faces Around the Cross allows you to contemplate the closing scenes of Jesus' earthly ministry through the eyes of those who were there: John, Judas, Peter, Pilate, the Centurion and Caiaphas. Featuring Richard Stenbakken, Chaplain (COL), US Army, Ret., presenting first person biblical narratives. In authentic costume, Stenbakken portrays the agonies and the triumphs of the Faces Around the Cross. Broadcast began on Hope Channel March 26/27.
