I can receive the 24-hour test
stations (both vertical and horizontal polarization) on PAS-10,
but I cannot receive
programs on 3.5155 Ghz
|
LNB is not the extended
version: If your downlink installation is older than 3 years, you
may have an old LNB (3.7 to 4.2 Ghz) which does not receive on the
lower 3.5155 frequency as it is outside of the range. |
Take
out the LNB and check on the label.
It should read: 3.4 - 4.2 Ghz which is the extended C-band LNB.
If you need to buy a new one, ask for: C-band: Digital LNB, suitable
for extended C-band [3.4 - 4.2Ghz], Linear, dual frequency, S/N
ratio 0.8dB or better. Also try to get 17 degrees K or lower.
Some
good brands are: Acer, California Amplifier, Eagle Aspen, ElSat,
Eurostar, Fortec Star, Zintech.

On PAS 7/10
I can get China & Japan but not India or BBC World
|
LNB will not switch to 24-hour test
stations using vertical polarization |
Mark the LNB offset present position.
Then turn your LNB 90 degrees from its present position. You should
be able to receive India & BBC World and also Hope Channel International. |
